Work Experience
2024 - January
4Wood - 1 week (40 hours)
Within this week, I gained additional experience in the area of moulding and casting. I also gained more contacts and an increased understanding of the working environment within the prop making industry.
2023 - March
Wild Creations - 1 week (40 hours)
I was put to work in the moulding and casting area of the company. Through working there I gained experience of working with fibreglass, moulding and casting alongside a team of fellow prop makers. I also gained experience with practicing time management within a professional setting.
2022 - September - December
RCT Theatres - Jack and the Beanstalk Pantomime
Creation of the Golden Goose Puppet and 6 Golden Eggs. Worked with RCT Theatres for a Christmas production of Jack and the Beanstalk. I was tasked with creating a Golden Goose hand puppet and 6 golden eggs, all of which I completed to a high standard by the assigned deadline. I gained insight and experience with working in a professional setting as a prop maker. I worked to produce high standard results with the input and guidance from a Director to make their visions and ideas a reality. I learned how to manage my time effectively to ensure that everything was completed on time.
2017 - June
KNOTT Avonride -
1 week (40 hours)
Working as an assistant designer, I gained experience of working within a professional environment and knowledge and experience with Sketchup CAD (Computer Aided Design) software. I was taught how to use Sketchup to create both plain and detailed, scaled designs in 2D and 3D formats.
